First out was two whole days in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Saw the old Angkor temple ruins. Old market. Night market. Bar street. Cheap massages. Tuk-tuks. I totally love the colors of Cambodia. Imagine dusty, faded colors like in an old photograph. Orange, brown, blue and gold.

We took a boat to Phnom Penh from Siem Reap on the gigantic Tonle Sap. We passed floating villages, small boats, rice farmers. The landscape is amazing!

Phnom Penh was much bigger than Siem Reap, and in my opinion lacked the charm of Siem Reap. But the historical sites of the city was worth the trip, including the killing fields and the torture prison of Tuol Sleng. We also saw the Russian market, Wat Phnom, the royal palace and the silver pagoda.

After two nights in Phnom Penh, we were off by luxury bus to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam. That was yesterday. The traffic here is crazy; you literally risk your life every time you cross a street. This city is huge, and everyone`s preparing for the lunar new year celebrations on the 14th through the 16th. We went to the war museum and the Reunification Palace this morning. I cannot believe the sad history of Cambodia and Vietnam.

Now we`re off to Mui Ne, about 200km northeast of Saigon. Which means a few days of beach life. Everything seems to be sold out, so we don`t really know where we`ll be sleeping tonight. I "hope" we`re not going to be forced to book a luxury resort on the beach :)

Next is Manila, the Philippines, on the 15th, and then hopefully island-hopping around Cebu from the 18th.

Stay tuned for thousands (at least tens) of pictures.
