Two weeks ago, me and Peter went to Buenos Aires to visit Vivi. It was such an amazing city! We stayed at Livian Guesthouse in Palermo Viejo, where we were upgraded to a huge suite, because "unfortunately" our room had been double booked. That left us with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom, living room and dining room. And a private terrace, connected to the hotel garden. Sweet :) I loved the Palermo Viejo area, with all its cosy cafés, nice restaurants, stores and bars. All the streets were lined with trees, and the city is full of nice parks! We visited the Recoleta Cemetery, some nice museums, went to a "parilla" at Vivis roof top terrace, ate beef, drank red wine, fernet, and I went totally crazy at the San Telmo outdoors market. It was perfect! Cheap jewelry, old hats, cufflinks, clothes, fur coats, and all sorts of old and used things.

fridachile

Two days ago I finally arrived at the airport in Santaigo de Chile, after the longest trip ever. I had to get up at 4:30 am, to catch my flight out of Oslo at 6:30. I had a stopover in Amsterdam (omg, I hate Schipol!!), which lasted for about 3 hours. Then I had a 13 hour flight to Lima, Peru, which was comfortable enough, and I actually got some sleep. But then awaited almost SIX hours at the Lima airport. It was strange walking through gift shops in a country I've never been to. I watched a few episodes of Mad Men, and got to recharge my mac. Apart from that it was crazy boring. Then I had a 3,5 hour flight to Santiago, where I met Peter. (Which was great.) But then we had another couple of hours in a taxi before we arrived in Valparaíso at 5 in the morning (local time). That means my trip lasted for about 31 hours. But it was totally worth it! This place is amazing. I'll write more later, and I'll try to take some pictures :-) xoxo

Friday: Greek dinner

Thursday: Bonia club night + Platoon

brief update

This semester has probably been the most busy time of my life. I've had my mom, dad, sister, brother, and Peter visiting, had loads of school work, been traveling South East Asia with Kristine, checked out the Shanghai expo, hiked up various mountains and met some amazing people. In four weeks I'll be back in Norway. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, but right now I can't imagine leaving Korea.

fridaexpo

I recommend everyone to check out the amazing World EXPO 2010 in Shanghai. Especially the Norwegian Pavilion cause they have such hot guides. (The pavilion is nice as well.)
